West Point, Georgia and Valley and Lanett, Alabama have been working with the National Park Service and The Trust for Public Land on establishing a paddling blueway from below West Point Dam to the beginning of Lake Harding. It is a truly scenic portion of the river with historic textile mills, gently flowing water, and abundant wildlife. In connection with the proposed project, CSU has been asked to do a survey of the economic impact the blueway would have on the Valley region. We are providing a link to the survey and ask that you take a few minutes to complete it and pass on to any of your friends you think would be interested in such a fabulous paddling trail.
